So, the paperwork for the £18.2m deal is expected to be signed today with Ramires likely to be at Stamford Bridge on Saturday – albeit not quite in the side by then!

Indeed, there is no way he will play Saturday! He will probably be presented to the crowd or something. We have no urgent desire to chuck him in either, with Mikel, Essien, Lampard and Benayoun all fit we don't need to rush him in the team.
