I think everyone will be available for this game at last. I am sure the players who come back today though will only have a small involvement. But it will be good to get a proper pre season underway. Will be good to hopefully get Benayoun involved at last and see how Carlo wants to use him. Hopefully we can continue the involvement of some youngsters, especially the ones Carlo plans to keep around. Should be an interesting game.

Should be a great workout for the WC returned players and ones returning from injury like Bena and Yuri. Good news about the Drog travelling with the team, doesn't look like he'll play but good for him to be doing some light training work with the others I suppose. On the surface of it, the result doesn't matter, but it can only be good for the team psychologically to win games ahead of the season's start. Hope to catch some of the action online blue%20scalf.gif

From ChelseaFC.com

The Chelsea squad has departed for Germany, minus Daniel Sturridge and Frank Lampard.

Youngster Sturridge misses out on the trip due to a minor ankle ligament injury while Lampard will join up with the group in Frankfurt later due to illness. New Uefa Under 19 European Championship winner Gael Kakuta will also link up with the squad during the five-day trip, which involves two matches, against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday and Hamburg on Wednesday. FA Youth Cup-winning goalkeeper Sam Walker is also in the party, as is midfielder Josh McEachran.

Didier Drogba and summer signing Yossi Benayoun are also on the trip, but as Carlo Ancelotti confirmed yesterday, the foursome of Petr Cech, Jose Bosingwa, Alex and Deco all remain at home due to injury.

The full travelling squad is:

Hilario

Ross Turnbull

Sam Walker

Jeffrey Bruma

John Terry

Michael Mancienne

Patrick van Aanholt

Paulo Ferreira

Ashley Cole

Ricardo Carvalho

Branislav Ivanovic

Michael Essien

John Mikel Obi

Nemanja Matic

Yury Zhirkov

Florent Malouda

Yossi Benayoun

Josh McEachran

Scott Sinclair

Salomon Kalou

Nicolas Anelka

Didier Drogba

Fabio Borini

Glad Mancienne's going. It looks like he's finally getting a real and fair chance to prove his worth. Kakuta joining the trip is also very good news, he'll be very confident after winning the euro under -19 (important part in winning it).

Feel sad for Sturridge though. Really wanted to see him play with our star players. Also feel sad for Bertrand. Thought he made a good impression in the first pre-season game. In the second game he played as a CB so he couldnt really perform.

Suprised to see Sinclair in the list. Maybe Ancelotti will use him as our own ''Walcott'', coming of the bench. His amazing speed is a handfull for any defence, especially tired defences.

Di Santo and Cork will probably go on a loan spell again.

No Rhys Taylor? Is he injured?

He's on loan with Crewe, so he probably hooked up with them for pre-season training.

I'm quite concerned Bosingwa's not travelling, does that means he's not over his injury yet? Hopefully Kakuta will get game time once he arrives in Germany, will be a great game tomorrow! blue%20scalf.gif
