Miralem Pjanic is by far better than Gael Kakuta. The lad's as good as Juninho ever was for Lyon. They're not in the best state financially at the moment. But £15 million? No chance, they'd push for another ten million because he's such a massive talent and another £5million because we're Chelsea. I highly doubt we'd get him but if we did it#d be a brilliant signing, he's only 20 for god's sake.

I have no problem with us signing up talented young midfielders because a lot of our midfield is on the older side now... Can't say i know anything about Pjanic to be honest but i would say its a little early to say that he is far better than Kakuta....

We have not seen kakuta in the premier league at full pelt yet we have seen cameo performances. Miralem Pjanic might be better than gael kakuta now, but in future gael will be a huge player for us. I don't want us signing players who will stagnate our younger players future. By the way miralem Pjanic's goal record in the french league makes me sick !

I think he is more of a replacement for Ballack than Deco. We have Kakuta who will replace Deco and we need a box to box/ attacking midfielder to replace Ballack.

Still that goal record even for a midfielder in France is poor. We need a goal scoring midfielder the Russian midfielder would be better.

What's it with people only wanting to buy young players? If we want to buy him, the why should we have players like Kakuta? What's the use of that? I guess Kakuta is not 'just' a young player, but a very bright one. That would explain why we have put so much effort in keeping him.

Not to take anything away from Pjanic, but we should look at wich young players we already have.

He played ok against real madrid good vision and touch not very fast not very strong but neither is kakuta (being strong). He scored a really good goal and put his side through. The thing he has over kakuta is he is two footed and pretty good with both feet but kakuta is faster and a better header.

Kakuta is a lot more 2 footed than what you think, he is better with his right foot than most right footed players are with their left!!!!

On to Pjanic i am very happy to see us sign up young talented players, yes we want to bring our own through but our midfield needs some work, Mikel, Essein and Lampard are the main players but we need to build a group to back them up as Deco and Ballack and Belletti are not what we need now. Matic is looking good but we need more and Pjanic would be a decent signing in the summer...

I hope its ok to open one of these even if there is minimal interest. I remember Chelsea being linked to Miralem about a year ago but nothing came of it.

Anyways, very talented young player, already established himself as a starter on the Bosnian national team.
