FC Porto vs Chelsea

25 November 2009, UCL, Estadi do Dragao, 1945 KO

Chelsea head to Portugal to face FC Porto in a crunch Champions League group match.

A win for Chelsea would see them finish Group D as winners and give them a potentially more-favourable draw in the next round. However, the Blues have never beaten Porto away from Stamford Bridge, having lost 2-1 and drawn 1-1 under Jose Mourinho at the Dragao.

Even though we have already qualified we need to win this game to ensure we finish top of our group, team selection will be interesting with Arsenal in mind at the weekend, but i think we will field our strongest available 11 for this one.

Squad for tomorrow

Cech, Hilario, Turnbull, Ivanovic, A. Cole, Zhirkov, Carvalho, Terry, Alex, Essien, Belletti, Mikel, Ballack, Malouda, Kakuta, Deco, J. Cole, Kalou, Anelka, Drogba.

Talk about strength in depth ! Good to see Kakuta in there as well - but probs wont get a run out as I think he played in the reserves last night......
