Could well be our second defeat in a week, dont really see a win. Defence is woeful with Ben Haim around and I cant see where the goals are going to come from right now either.

Tut tut. That's not the spirit.

A nice 2 - 0 win will be nice. Lampard and Shevchenko to score.

The old habits of setting myself up ready for defeat so Im less disappointed seem to have returned this season. Besides, we'll no doubt be playing against twelve men again. Good news about Ballack and possibly Carvalho back, that'd be a huge boost. Oh and Saint Gerrard's got 'a bug' apparently..............not that we didnt all already know he's full of shit anyway.

Michael Ballack returns to the Chelsea side for the first time since April for the Carling Cup quarter-final against Liverpool after two ankle operations.

Ricardo Carvalho is also fit to play, but key duo John Terry (foot) and Didier Drogba (knee) will miss out.

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard is out with a stomach bug, but Xabi Alonso could return after a 10-match absence because of a metatarsal injury.

Steve Finnan is doubtful with a calf problem, while Daniel Agger is out.

Im going for 1-0 Chels.. Joe Cole to score.
