<H3 class=headline id=headline>TEAM NEWS: STOKE CITY V Chelsea </H3>Posted on: Sat 12 Sep 2009Without Deco for the trip to Stoke City, Carlo Ancelotti has recalled Michael Ballack to the starting line-up, while Salomon Kalou partners Didier Drogba in atttack.

The Italian has opted to rest the international trio of Ricardo Carvalho, Michael Essien and Nicolas Anelka, who are all on the bench, making space for Branislav Ivanovic in central defence alongside John Terry.

Ballack slots into the likely midfield diamond alongside Florent Malouda, with Frank Lampard expected to play at the head, while Kalou lends assistance to Drogba up front.

Stoke feature former Chelsea man Robert Huth in defence, the German playing his second game for the Britannia Stadium side. Danny Collins will make his debut alongside the German after signing from Sunderland.

Chelsea will line-up in a 4-4-2 diamond formation as follows:
