Would like to see Drogba and Anelka linking up well again in this game, getting them gelling quickly could be a the vital detail in us winning the league this year.

I think thats vital to, anelka and drogba are 2 stikers who can score at any moment.

Nothing was mentioned about alex so im not too sure when he will be back.

Heading to the city now, got a 2 hour train ride. Look around the city for a bit than head to the bridge for my first game to take some photos, and watch the lads train :D

Just reading up about how we lost to Burnley last year on Penalties at the Carling Cup and seeing who they've beaten recently, I think it's going to be a tough call, but I know we can do it.

TEAM NEWS:-

Deco and Michael Essien return to the starting midfield as the 'Christmas tree' formation is once again deployed.

Deco will play alongside Nicolas Anelka, in behind Didier Drogba, with Frank Lampard playing deeper in midfield.

Essien takes over the holding role from John Mikel Obi. The rearguard is unchanged from Fulham.

Burnley are totally unchanged from the starting line up used in their win over Everton.

Chelsea will line up in a 4-3-2-1 formation as follows:
