Wow Mikel has been on another whole new level of being bad of late. 3 times in the last month his been brought on to calm the game down, his done the opposite of tht and we have come under more increasing pressure. I am glad we got Matic.

He was shocking when he came on, wasn't he? Will definitely be leaving Stamford Bridge next season. He's won a lot with us and he should be proud of that. His presence in the squad and his wages make him a pointless player to keep, even as a squad player.

But he won't be played here either. He's an amazing prospect, but he's still got a lot improve on. I guess the best thing would be to buy him and send straight away on loan to a team where he'd be a guaranteed starter.

I disagree,I think he'll get plenty of playing time here.Obviously he has to improve a lot of things but then again he is just 19 so its normal but he is already at a level where he can contribute significantly over here imo.Besides there aren't that many options in the market at the momnet.

Kovacic has a long way to go before he'll be able to start regularly in the EPL.

The question is: If Lampard leaves....will Jose trust a midfield of Matic, Ramires, Van Ginkel and Kovacic?

The thing is Lampard is hardly a starter right now.Our best midfielder is Matic by a mile and he is about to come into his prime so I believe we can afford to blood in talented players like Kovacic and MVG with him.TBH I would keep Lamps for another year so our midfield options next year could be like Matic,Kovacic,MVG,Lampard and Ramires which has got a perfect blend of youth and experience imo.
