Shows how utterly calamitous our defending is when being 3-1 up against Southampton is FAR from settled.

My rule has always been never get comfortable until it's 4 up, even in Jose's first spell.

How many times did you feel comfortable then?

The funny part I don't see Emerson getting his starting lineup over Alonso. Purely from set pieces set point, he is arguably our best player in the air except Giroud

Alonso has height but he has concentration issues with setpieces

Alonso and Willian, two most hated players have been teriffic

I don't see how can we drop Alonso. He is our best player in the air.

I am pragmatic enough to not disagree atm, atm being the key. They are both on a nice streak of games.

In PL and CL (knockout) games I genuinely can't remember the last time. I'm a bit more relaxed in the domestic cups though.

I will trust Lamps to sort out who is playing the best and for what needs each game demands. Emerson certainly offers more athleticism but Alonso's passing has been really good lately.

What a drive from Willian there CHO needs to score.  No excuses for injury.  If he's fit enough to start he should score.

He seems a bit tentative still post injury,  which is to be expected. Hopefully he soon gets over the mental block and trusts his body again.

He tends to respond well whenever his place is under threat, it's when he's safe he tends to get complacent and/or knackered.

Willian is playing in attack and defense!

He finally has worked himself into midseason match fitness. He was sluggish the first set of games.
