His hands are tied. 5th will actually be decent when you compare us to our rivals.

I like the constant reminder to be competitive though. Let's hope Cech is working in the background for a blockbuster summer 2020.

Are Zouma and Christensen now essentially a lock to both start?

Have to be, only other CB is Tomori for now

If one of them goes down we are fucked, unless Azpi slides over (and he is, as some have said, only used to a B role in a back 3 mostly).

we are playing with swan vestas next to a petrol can

The race for the top 4 will be very interesting.

I think whatever teams that are in the top 6 (other than City and Liverpool who will undoubtedly make up the top 2) around Christmas and January time, if they can sustain a 8 or 10 match run gaining momentum, it will give them a good chance of pulling away.

Hopefully we will be there and theres about, obviously we need a good start as well. I do think if we are in and around the top 6 come the turn of the year, go on one of those runs we will pull away from the others.

Only concern is I think we lack the firepower and following pre season defensibe stability.

I think Puly is more used to playing on the right. But he showed he is really good scorer. Don't know who should play on the left from those two...

He obviously has to make things happen but it's refreshing not just to hear from a manager that talks in such a clear and likeable manner (and not prepared to dodge around questions), but also one that speaks so positive about the club and the players he has at his disposal.

Yes we're probably light in a couple of positions going into the season but I think at times the negativity surrounding the club is multiplied excessively by managers like Mourinho, Conte and Sarri being extremely negative in the press, downplaying our chances and quality of our squad.

I hope that what Lampard currently does lack in managerial experience at present can be made up by his man management of this group of players, particularly giving the young players confidence to take their chances when they are presented.
