Man u dropping points gives us a opportunity that we probably wont take advantage of but be nice to think we could.

Come on now... How pessimistic you have to be to think we won't win against Brighton at home comfy?

This is Chelsea these days. Time and time again we have a chance to take advantage and we piss around. Need to score first half or we know how it goes.

No excuses here. I honestly don't care who plays, because this is the easier of the next 2 matches. If the players need a rest, they should get it this time.

Of course it is crunch time, so can't relax and/or rest too many players, but something's gotta give.

Scoring goals is the concern of course, so perhaps RLC needs a start more than anyone esp since this is a home game against weak opposition. Prob the better one for Odoi to play since there is less need for defense work.

Looking at the table I just realized we lost only two points this season against bottom 8 teams. Southampton 0:0 at home. If we beat Brighton and Burnley at home that would be 15 wins and one draw against worst 8 teams in the league. Of course we struggled in some matches but we won. Our biggest problem are mid table teams from 7th to 12th place. We took only two points from possible 12 against Everton and Wolves. Leicester and Bournemouth also beat us and we draw against West Ham. Thats 18 points lost against mid table teams!  And we still have to play against Leicester, West Ham and Watford and you can bet we won't win all three games. Three for three points against Tottenham, City and Arsenal is fine. If you look at this stats you'll see we basically lost title against these mid table teams who can defend great but also make some danger in counter attacks. If we learn for next season how to play against them it'll be much better.

1. Three wins against the other Top 6 sides may seem fine but if we are to challenge for the title or at least be in comfortable position for the top 4, then we need to do better in the head-to-head matches especially if City, Liverpool etc keep on going at the ridiculous consistency they've been going. Otherwise, we have to rely on the others being crap in the season.

2. You're not wrong in breaking down the group of teams we do well and don't do well against. But looking at it another way, we have picked up only 16 points against the top 10 sides compared to 44 against the bottom 10 teams. That difference is huge and silly! On top of that, we have only ONE away win against the top 12 sides and that was against Watford, with the winner coming from the penalty spot. I don't think we've had such great disparity in the past!
