Didier Drogba

He needs more match time to get him sharp and focused. But no doubt he has lost the pace and acceleration.

He never really had any acceleration, but he has certainly lost what pace he did. That doesn't stop him from still being, IMO, the world's best at holding the ball up.

He's been lacking match practice/fitness, which is why he was much better during that run of games against Tottenham/Man Utd towards the end of the year,,.hopefully should be rectified with him making more appearances due to Costa's injury.

(I can think of at least one from the upcoming fixtures where he would be useful ;-)

Also, Drogba's level has been more or less like this over the past couple of years. Its not as if he dramatically went from prime Henry to old age Heskey in a matter of a few weeks.

His holdup play and aerial ability up is second to no-one on the squad, and he still has good ideas to keep our team ticking. (Yes, even kicking the ball away in extra time)

Under, even with Costa injured. I don't think he would play a lot.

I just hope he'll score just one last goal before the season ends.

Think he will play, especially in the United and Arsenal games. We are short in options, we only have Cuadrado, Drogba, Rambo/Oscar as our attacking players from the bench.

I'd say max 2 goals in the remaining 8 games for him. One late winning goal vs Arsenal would be a dream.

Please no. The midfield will be crippled by his lack of pace. 4-4-2 might be good though

If you look at the two men who have played there the most this season though, Fabregas isn't quick either and Oscar is hardly a speed demon. Willian is the only #10 we've played with this season who has speed as one of his big attributes - and he's played there significantly less than the other two.

Absolute pointless signing this season I think other than him being in the dressing room. Hopefully he will retire and become a coach next year though. Anyone else think Danny Ings would be a viable option for third choice next year on a free transfer or is it just me?
