If say we had beaten Leicester, Southampton and Bournemouth, we would then be sitting in 2nd and only 3 points behind Liverpool!

if we had gotten a proper striker in the summer and not missed tons of chances in these games, the picture now would be more different for us.

Remaining league fixtures...

Used to look at games and think yep there's a def a win.. But so many potential go wrongs in that group.

Only teams we haven't dropped against out that lot so far are City, Fulham, Brighton, Cardiff, Watford and Burnley.

He should not even play imo. Has absolutely no value in such a game and just will be a passenger. We need someone in the defensive mid position who can actually defend. I would actually play like this

-----Rüdiger--Luiz--Christensen---

Azpi-----Kovacic---Kante----Emerson

----Pedro-----Higuain------Hazard-----

which is obviously never gonna happen but we need to load the channels with players on both ends to stand any chance against them.

Also set pieces. They have conceded 50% of all their goals from set pieces. So get the cavalry up for every corner and please do not let Willian take them.

So we are going to sacrifice our possession game, for a counter attacking game when Hazard is yet again the only creative outlet?

We've already beaten them once so we know that we've got their number - just need to make sure we turn up, anything defensively similar to what Arsenal offered up earlier and we're done for.

Exactly. Posession game vs City is a bad idea. And in general overrated.

Having a two man midfield vs a City team that will have three midfielders + wing backs playing centrally, is also a bad idea.

Unlike Bournemouth, City will have space to actually exploit. It's whether or not our players will be up to exploit it.

No we concede midfield and try to beat them on the counter. we have no chance to win the midfield battle anyway. Jorginho is not really a proper midfielder either cos he is useless without the ball.

Liverpool. Spurs away (in the cup). Arsenal (at home) and even against City at home. We thrived given the space they gave us. Our attack failed to put away chances.

Especially with City playing midweek, we should definitely play to our strengths on this one. Not matching City's intensity come Sunday, will be unforgivable in the highest measure.

Is anyone here going to this? If so, are you aware that the women's team is playing City's women on the same day, across the road at the Academy stadium? Women's game kicks of at 1:00pm. If you're up there early, and fancy a double header, tickets can be bought on the gate or online direct from Man City. If you want to be sure of getting there in time then You can book on a Thomas Cook coach to the women's game for a tenner. If anyone would like more details let me know.

I am. Going up with a lot of the old mates I used to travel with from the pub

Just depends which 2 teams turn up from them and us! I certainly ain't going there full of the negativity of some of us on here.

Fuck me the moaning! Looking in as an outsider looking in you might wonder if some are supporters or some North London twats pretending!

Good thing for us is they have midweek game.

Last season when they beat us 1-0 at the Etihad, they also had a game in the week against Arsenal at the Emirates and battered them 3-0. We did not have a game in the week but they absolutely played us off the park and the 1-0 scoreline did not reflect the total dominance from them. You would not have thought we had a whole week's rest and they had a fixture in the week. We played them too much respect. Doubt it will make much difference as I expect them to beat Everton and not use up much energy.
