Unpopular opinion , Morata and Giroud are not the problem rather it's our first team fullback play combined with Willian and Hazard's ball hogging that are the problem. Azpi and Alonso don't overlap and can't cross so Morata most of the time now barely gets in goal scoring places (his movement has always been his strength) because he has to come out of the box to retrieve the ball. Same with hazard. This is why our 2nd team is usually better at creating clear cut chances compared to our first team because Zappacosta and Emerson even though they are not the best full backs out there still do the basic full back play well enough

CHO MOTM

Ampadu 2nd

Luiz 3rd

AC 4th (he is best with Luiz as partner for some reason)

Cesc 5th (would be close to MOTM if he had not missed the PK and that 2nd cannon-shot)

Zappacosta 6th (offer more going forward than Azpi)

Morata a grudging 7th

Emerson 8th (looked solid)

Caballero 9th

RLC 10th (hope he isnt hurt badly)

Barkley dead last (soooooo shit lately)

bonus fling-poo......

Hazard is gassed, thanks Sarri!!!!!!

Yup i keep harping on our FB play, but really that is the biggest issue on this team. Emerson and Zappacosta with their ability and energy really stretched the opposition, can't really play teams who play very deep and have FB that add so little to your attack.

Both Zappa and Emerson have the ability to improve, but yet Sarri is wasting time on players that neither haver the technical or physical ability to improve. That is puzzling to me, you can't improve Alonso and to great extent Azpi either. But both Zappa and Emerson can improve, because they have the foundation.

Victor Moses should have been sold in the summer, he played all of last season he had much more market value. Now after rotting on the bench all season can't think he would have much suitors.

Not saying this in hindsight, it was quite clear that he would not play much.

Moses is a bit of a unique situation in the sense he will still have a lot of suitors due to his ability as a WB.

He will be a coup for any team who play 3ATB.

What a pass by CHO, blew away the defender

When have we ever seen willian blow away a defender except from a counter?? We need CHO and thank goodness we bought pulisic. Let me see how Willian will get away with getting starting spots while playing average 95% of the time

Bayern think they're pulling a fast one trying to turn CHO's head. They know that he'll be a mega expensive player within a couple of years if he plays. Hopefully they haven't succeeded.

You can 100% see him going there, exploding in development, and then City or United buy him for £80m or something 3 years from now.

He really must be convinced to stay. He may be raw and have much to learn, but as someone said here he already looks more dangerous in space than Willian and Pedro.

We will need some new players then for depth if they all leave (Moses, Cahill, Cesc, Drinks, maybe more?)

And knowing Chelsea, they will overpay for every replacement.

Resulting we wont be reinforcing our team with quality but quantity once more.

At best we can hope for top striker eventualy, but top LB or CB wont happen.

And not only need upgrades - it will be a BIG HG problem.

We need to get some golden handcuffs on CHO PDQ

I will miss Magic Hat. I was always as much of a Cescy fanboy as the many who are Edens.

If he goes we best have a buy back clause and first refusal.

I don't think we will let him go though

We need a few academy players to break through- will give hope to the others

It has everything to do with the level of opponent they face compared to the starters.

I will be mega annoyed if we sell CHO. The guy today was a revelation, who brought a freshness to the team. He is still a bit naive, but give him game time and we have a class act here. Would hate to see us sell him and then he turns into another, De Bruyne, Salah etc. and he comes back to haunt us. Be nice to see him and Pulisic flanking Hazard and a new striker, thats if Hazard decides to stay.

You are wrong buddy, our FB play has everything to do with our inability to create chances against team that play narrow and deep. It is really just simple math, to create opportunities you need FB that can even the numbers against the opposition and force them to mark them and defend the space they occupy. Alonso and Azpi pose no threat on and off the ball, makes it very easy to concentrate the middle.
