Gravity

This movie has got to be the movie of the year for me. I haven't been both terrified and amazed by a movie in such a long time. The last movie, that probably had the same effect on me, was Jurassic Park. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat throughout its intense moments. At the same time, i was wowed by its stunning visuals, which looked truly spectacular to behold. This film will be remembered for a long time, that's for sure.

There is no wonder that it nabbed so many Oscar nominations and i am sure that it will win the majority of them. Although i haven't seen most of the Oscar nominees, i doubt they can top this one(except for The Wolf of Wallstreet).

Even now nothing really changes. Blacks have a 1 in 3 chance of being jailed, receive longer sentences than white people, and are 8 times more likely to be arrested.

These facts legitimise modern slavery in prisons where hard labour with no wages see investors calling US prisons the new gold mines.
