I'm not sure he'll be ready.  Big step up to go from a championship side to a title competing (hopefully that's our place) side in a year.

Sarri will develop him and make him ready. By that time the team should be very comfortable with Sarri's tactics so it will be also easier for him to settle down.

Excited about Kovacic, although I'm not entirely sure about his attitude. His ability on the pitch should take our midfield to another level

With an option to buy

Pls stop relying on random tweets and check the sources. He quotes the writer of the MARCA article, which specifically says real remains in control of the player.

Developing a player for Madrid's benefit like a small team would? No thanks.

Kovacic is not a player in need of development, he is a great player. It is a move that benefits both side potentially. We have no intention of developing him, if he is the best option he will play.

Consider this similar to when we loaned Essien to Madrid.

El acuerdo entre el Real Madrid y el Chelsea se anunciará en las próximas horas y Kovacic pondrá rumbo a Londres para embarcarse en su nueva aventura, de ida y vuelta.

"El acuerdo se anunciará en las próximas horas" - > That's Spanish for "this will drag up until the last minute of the deadline day".

Even without an option to buy it gives Sarri that extra body in midfield this season and more funds to sort out our keeper situation.

If kovacic is holding out for a loan move now, comes here and loves it he'll no doubt try to force a move next summer to our benefit. About time madrid suffered like every other club does when they try unsettling players.

Anyway lets cross that bridge when it comes as we don't have time now to mess about. Just get him in.

The lack of an option to buy wouldn't be an issue, from my point of view. If Kovacic enjoys life here and he doesn't want to come back to Real, there will be a way to keep him.

Regarding the overcrowded midfield, I think Bakayoko will be loaned out to Sevilla and Drinkwater will end up on the London Stadium.

True enough but maybe more than just an extra body, an extra option with his ball carrying skills. Something we get from Willian when he's hot, but which we totally lack when he is not.

As for spending big on a keeper, I wouldn't do it. Spend nothing, back Bulka and use the budget where we need it most.
