2 Extremely lucky goals they scored. Are we going to start slagging Conte off again.

Yes, because he got it wrong tonight on many, many levels. And this is coming from a big supporter of his.

Let's start the game, shall we?

At least we won't get humiliated by City at Wembley

It's a ugly trophy...

And plus the final in London.. We keep losing in London so maybe not a bad thing.. Plus already lost there twice recently in cup games..

We started the game very very well, we pressed them high, scored 2 goals, 1 from offside. And I believed every single word from our camp that we are travelling to Emirates to take the game and going there for a win. Then we lost it completely.

Don't know what is wrong with Conte...Wenger seems to get better of him everytime...We cannot get a win against arsenal...We always come short of them...Some average players are there and rotting our club...Alonso does not have any pace...cannot do anything...Wingbacks are fucking awful

Wenger has Conte figured out it must be said. Arsenal are the exact sort of team we struggle against. Quick, intricate passing between the lines. Midfielders who (unlike ours) are super comfortable in tight spaces and at playing one touch football. I dread what Barca will do to us, tbh. This Arsenal side have been terribly average this season yet played through us with ease in that second half.

Oh well. Couldn't care less about the Carabao Cup. At least what we saw of Barkley was promising. Refreshing to see a midfielder who can comfortably receive the ball with his back to goal and either burst forward with it or pass it off. He was rusty obviously, but could add another dimension to our play.

Their first goal was utterly fucking lucky, almost comically so. That is then compounded by the Willian injury which I think also led to a change of formation to 3-5-2 which we aren't very good at with our current personnel. Second goal is lucky as fuck as well, they score 2 goals not from skill but from luck, and that's super frustrating.

Two lucky goals, but we should have scored more. The team sucked in the second half. I'm not angry or anything - just disappointed in the team...

Also, we play in a system where you have to rely on the wing backs a lot and play Alonso and Moses! They would be good second string wing backs, and they were interesting players last season. Now they have been found out. Especially Alonso, who Bellerin continues to make a mockery of.

A lot of bad luck in this one, made worse by a terrible second-half showing. Once Willian went off injured and we reverted to 3-5-2 (with no striker) we became almost incapable of attacking; Conte should probably have put Batshuayi on instead of Barkley.

Positives: Hazard and Bakayoko (he's still not great, but has been improving over the last few games).

Negatives: Pretty much everything (and everyone) else. Awful time for Willian to get his injury given that he's been one of our most in-form players over the last month or so; it probably means more of the increasingly limp 3-5-2 for the forseeable future as well.

Just now, FabHazard said:

If we had hudson-odoi or musonda on bench instead of 2 centrebacks we would have won this game...This game was lost due to willian inkury...Momentum  completely changed with that injury

Conte doesn't have the balls for it though.
