Why does it have to be International?.I think you'll find Britain has produced some quality bands and solo artists ie:Pink Floyd,Led Zepp,Rolling Stones,The Specials,The Jam,Sex Pistols,Stone Roses,Oasis.And most recentley Arctic Monkeys,Kaiser Chiefs and The Enemy.Need i go on? Britpop rules

I think the point was just your favourite bands outside of your own country. The original poster of this thread is French, and French singing bands are very much detached to the world's mainstream of music.

True, but by international one could imply one's favourite artists from around the globe, or one's favourite artists outside of one's country.
