He cant cross so save his life. How on earth has he become a fullback? That decent burst of pace he has is literally his only strength he is like a carbon copy of bosingwa. But at least bosingwa would raise his game against high class opposition and marked Messi out of the game 3 times.

Hardly, our big game record in games Bosingwa played was truly abysmal. Barca was a freak exception to the rule with him.

Zappa seems clearly suited to a counter attacking style where he can run onto the ball in space. When a team is camped in their own half for 99% of the time like Everton were and he has to square up his marker and beat him with a dribble he's nearly useless as we saw.

Think we can honestly say he was a panic buy. Came completely out of nowhere once we realized we couldn't get a world class wingback. Guess we couldn't get as lucky as we got when we panic bought Alonso last year.

He's just not good enough I'm fed up watching us buy average wing backs why city sign buy quality wing backs :middlefinger::middlefinger:

Alonso and zappacosta would make great back ups that's all but

Tbf, the wingback Ciyy brought for back up is just as bad.

Woah just read that this guy is 25 years old, genuinely thought he was bordering on 30. Sell ASAP, might still be able to get some of our money back.

We should have paid the extra money in the summer and got djibril sidibe instead :(

In recent times, none of our RBs can put a decent ball into the box..
Paulo Ferreira comes to mind as the last RB that can cross a decent ball consistently.
Ivanovic in his latter years was bad when defending against pacey wingers but going forward he always was an outlet and contributed goals/assists.

Seems like even Bosingwa would be an improvement over this chap, ffs I hope I'm proven wrong.

Maybe for a trial we could stick Moses on the left and play Zaps cause he became alot better as the game ent on yesterday. Morata might benfit with both Dave and Zapps putting some onto his nut. And i'd dearly love to see him do this again. Was a truely amazing goal. Maybe Goal of the Year
