We have Luiz and still don't know why Costa took the penalty.

Come on, Costa is league's top scorer and he almost always scores from that position. I think Luiz was the right man for the job, but its not like Costa was a weird choice. If it was Moses, Matic or Kante I would agree with you here,

Got targeted again. So many times Liverpool hit high balls into his area (and Azpi's TBF) and we are so fortunate they didn't have any big player to take more advantage of that.

That's a big problem. Both lack height to regularly win headers. If the RCB were taller, I don't know if opponents would be whipping crosses that direction as much.

With other results, as good as a win :D

I know Costa should have scored, but he should not have been taking the kick. Too bad Hazard had just been subbed a few minutes earlier.

Cesc must play more. Konte is a beast. Good game from Luiz.

We outlasted them for a positive result.

Best part of the day? Watford winning at Emirates and Spurs drawing at lousy Sunderland. You have to love it!

It is a Blue day, enjoy! :drunk:

Come on you Chelsea!!

It is a disappointment because it means 'pool beat us for the season.
Also Spurs but with them it was one win each.
I can't settle for less than 6-0 against the specialists.

I prefer beat them to the title and them being empty handed for 27 years now.

Who the fuck cares about that if we win the league?

It feels like mourinho in disguise

Just why conte make this game like how mourinho will approach

Allowed the opponent to having the ball is one thing. But struggle alot to create meaningful chances, shit passing quality for almost 75 minutes is really similiar to  mourinho display when we play away matches. Depressing to watch for my liking

It pleases but does not encourage me. What would encourage me is better players in certain key areas.

Considering there are few hours left in the transfer window, I think you are looking for the wrong answers here. The reason I'm more than happy with the current situation is that despite the lack of better players in key areas we are still in a very good place. Months ago Liverpool decided the game after 25 minutes of the 1st half at SB. Now we played at Anfield and only a missed penalty prevent a victory. Situation is soo good, that even if we lose the game against Arsenal, we will be at least point in front of the 2nd placed and team and with only both Manchester teams left to play from the top 6 teams.

Players like Moses are not Champions League late stages material, but he is decent enough to be part of a PL winning side.

It was clear that costa will miss it... he just took the ball and went so quickly to the penalty spot...

shame someone else didn't take it...

i would have put my money 99% of the time on Costa scoring that penalty, he was great at winning the pen at that moment in the game because of Liverpool´s pressure, ok it was a good save by Mignolet but Costa with the right mindset today would have buried that penalty and silenced Anfield, it just wasn´t meant to be, im pissed off i wont lie, but its life, i would have taken a point before the game started and now that Spurs and Arsenal dropped points its even better than i imagined, shame we couldnt take all 3 today and create a bigger gap in the table, but it happens. Cheers
