How can something that could have happened be a fact?. Not sure your argument holds much water fact. There's too many if's buts and maybes.

What is a FACT is kante last season is one of the main reason we won the league. I don't think we would of won the league last year with fab and matic in the middle.

And the bit where you said I said something silly?? I invite u to go and read every post u have ever posted your are the most negative Chelsea fan on this forum.

Are some of you realy discussing Kante quality again? 

Im wondering when will you guys ever appreciate our player when he is not having the very best game of his life, because as soon someone has average or decent game, he can be easily replacable apparently because he is nothing special??

We should all appreciate the players we have as long we have them because often only once they are gone, people realise what we had. And no, the board wont throw 90m for a new midfielder after.

The plan usually is to make up for any lack of creativity in midfield with Hazard's ability.

Similar to how we used to make up for it with Drogba's presence.

That in itself is not an issue to have a specialist in something (think Maka, nothing special on the ball), but for the team to fully benefit from his specialties he needs to have class ball-players around him. If we do not or when we're having a bad game in possession, his limitations will show more than it should, and it's not his fault. Luckily we do have good ball-players and we saw last season how effective we can be with this model, unfortunately currently the squad is just depleted.

The problem is that it expected from him to do all the work in mid. He is impressive player indeed, but puting someone like Cesc next to him in that formation is basically letting all the work to Kante. I just don't want to imagine the team without him, can't wait to see Bakayoko next to him. If Chelsea had actually a board who are using their heads, there would have been already someone next to him and Kante and the whole team would be playing better.

If the games against Spurs are anything to go by, I — sadly — do not think it will be the case. When the pace of the game is of high intensity, whether it is through technic or physicality, he seems unable to cope with it. That being said it is a sample too restricted to draw a conclusion. Regardless, I do hope that Bakayoko will add a strong physical presence into the midfield ; as we do not have any playmaker, we need some muscles to bypass this weakness !

P.S. That being said, I am more worried about our attacking play than our defensive...

He was a monster today. Also surprising that he got forward so much against a top opponent and looked good doing so. The confidence of having both Baka and David Luiz around him.
