Thought the little bald fella had another blinder yesterday Just quietly doing an amazing job and grabbing no headlines. Not a word mentioned about him apart from praise by a gooner

Another great game from the wee chuchie face. He just gets on with the game giving amazing performances and not one word about him or a well done!!

Heres a great article on him from back in the end of August. Worth a read.

His passing was awful against City in all honesty, especially in the first half but at least he had Cesc next to him though, the onus isn't on him to be creative but this has been a concern of mines for a few weeks now, can we rely on Kante and Matic to break teams down if nobody else is able to? Fair enough Matic has 6 assists this year but hardly a playmaker and it's the same with Kante.

West Brom up next, 10 men behind the ball... great stuff.

Big loss. Bournemouth will be a tough game, Cesc or whoever comes in for him will have to step up and do his fair share because they have a few half decent players in there and in all truth we've been effective rather than great this last couple of weeks.

Pardew believes Kante, a £32 million summer signing from Leicester City, played a key role in Chelsea’s latest win.

‘Kante in the midfield, he’s just such energy he had at Leicester last year, he’s bought that here,’ Pardew told Sky Sports.

‘He fills a lot of holes that go unnoticed.’

Nah fam, he's not getting away with that shitshow he put on today.

There was a moment, I genuinely thought, we had Ramires back in midfield.

The thing with Kante is, technically, he's very hit or miss. And if he's gonna be off with his touch/passing, he's simply gotta be more effective as that Ball Winning Midfielder in the team. He cannot be poor at both, like he was today, where he's losing nearly all his challenges on the ball. Dembele/Wanyama have out-done him twice this season.

And ok, fine, those players are his achilles heel, but on a larger note, Kante hasn't really been that effective for the past couple of games if we're being honest. His counter pressing, has been very poor lately, and that cannot continue if we are gonna continue with the Matic-Kante partnership. All the chance creation from deep cannot lie on Matic, Kante has to put the team in positions to quickly counter-attack via his Ball Winning in midfield.
