If we have the manager he's worked with for both club and country and who knows him inside and out and we don't even attempt to convince him to come here our board are negligent. He should be priority #1.

They could agree a fee with the club, but does any of you seriously think Leonardo would go out of Juve and leave Gigi, Barzagli and Chiellini? I don't really think so.

I also think that should Chelsea go head to head with City for his signature he'd choose Conte over Guardiola.

Would let Matic and Cuadrado go if it means Juve are at least willing to negociate a deal for Bonucci.

This is ridiculous. Conte's got the best relationship with Bonucci but our lack of dealings might screw this up entirely. Fuck sake Chelsea, pull your finger out.

Maybe we are waiting to see at what price they are willing to do business before we go in like Michy?

Can't help but think it's FFP that'll stop us from going for him. Chelsea is the only massive club who cares about it so much and it's maddening.

United, City, Real Madrid, Barca, PSG, Bayern etc all willingly throw massive amounts of money around but Chelsea are scared to so far. Maybe it'll change this summer and we'll show some ambition but there's no evidence at all of that yet. We couldn't even secure Conte's supposed top target in Nainggolan!

United is willing to break the world transfer record for Pogba. City want both Stones and Bonucci for £50m each. That would be 4 (FOUR!!!!) £50m players within a year. In addition to the huge costs of Mangala & Otamendi.

That is ambition. Let's see if we show some.

Feel this too. Our past managers, including Mou, would speak about the club's willingness to follow FFP. Yet we're seeing it's clearly not a factor with 'big clubs' at all..

Yep. City broke the fucking rules, for fucks sake, and they still spend like mad!

FFP has been relaxed, and even if it hasn't, the TV deal has rendered the rule irrelevant in this country.

Not to mention the Nike deal that will kick in next season, aswell as the Yokohoma one.

But re Bonnucci, unlike Pep, Antonio has spent the summer with him, so maybe Leonardo told him not to bother as he won't leave Juve, which means we are focusing on plan B, ie Koulibaly.

Thank you, that's the message I've been trying to let through.
I really think we would have more chances to get a deal with the player going for Pogba/Dybala than him.

What you say about the money is 100% true, which is why it's even more frustrating that we're reportedly stalling with every target we're after. I'm sure most of it is made up bullshit from journo's, but to see repeated bids for Nainggolan rejected is annoying when we know we have the money to pay up.

Why isn't Koulibaly already a Chelsea player? He's not on international duty and plays for a club much smaller than Chelsea. A big bag of cash should have been on Napoli's front lawn weeks ago and Koulibaly should be in Chelsea blue. Wish we'd just pay up and be done with things like we did a couple of summers ago.

We can forget the likes of Bonucci and Koulibaly, they are to expensive for Chelsea.

You guys better start researching leagues like the Bulgarian league or lower half of Ligue 1. Our next CB will probably come from a club there.

Lol, wouldn't be surprised given our stingy board these days

I think the cost of the new stadium is holding us back in the transfer window

Yeah, well imagine how hard it would be without CL football for 2 or more years in a row and worrying about funding a new stadium. That's what we're looking at if we don't kick into gear soon and start signing top players.

Arsenal had CL football every season and struggled in the market.
