It's very possible we end up with no defenders or with an overpriced average one that is no better than what we already have. Either way, we're fucked. Let's not forget that once upon a time, we had Filipe Luis and we just loaned Rahman. Christensen is also on loan.

Not worried, we'll definitely bring a CB in, most likely Maksimovic. According to many people who watch Serie A week in week out they say he's been great for a few years now and for this season will be the smarter buy, mainly because we need someone to come in straight away and dramatically improve our defence. Ramagnoli is a great prospect, he's been performing at a good level and for a 21 year old thats impressive but we'll mostly be buying him for his potential and in all honesty we have Zouma and Christensen for that, Marksimovic is still young (24) but is already playing at a much higher level, not to mention he'll be much easier to sign.

Would love Maksimovic at this point but even he may be impossible if Napoli speed things along and sign him.

We'll be left pissing in the wind. Or with our 6th choice CB target that's no better than Cahill.

Conte will have provided the board a list of options I am sure of that. Koulibaly being no.1, maybe Romagnoli no.2, so now we go after option 3 or 4, whomever they may be. Everyone has got a price, and I am confident Roman will pay the price needed in the end to bring in Conte's targets. Also, who knows, the "lesser" option/s could turn out to be the better options for us. Just because the likes of Koulibaly and Romagnoli are hyped, doesn't mean they're any better than other potential signings at cb.

Dreading it tbh, we should have signed at least one defender in early July. Now we are already on nearing the end of August, still without any defensive signings what so ever...fucking madness.
