Thought it might be an idea to create a list, of quality players we could sign, that could play in the champions league.

as winning the competition is the only way to save us.

so any suggestions?

Max Meyer - Schalke - Attacking Midfield

Gundogan

Reus

Allan

Higuain

Wanyama

Laporte

CM is a MUST. spend 40mil/50mil on gundogan. but get him.

You could offer 80 mil. He has to actually want to join the club.

It's nice to fantasise but you can't blame the club if they can't get quality players in the next window.

united got ADM (a CL winner) in a season they were not even in CL.

time for the board to do something good.

There was only one destination.

1. Real didn't want him anymore.

2. PSG couldn't buy him because of FFP so Utd were the only interested club (able to afford him).

A lot of people bring up Utd's situation before but remember they wanted to buy a lot of quality players and failed to attract them.

Gundogan has options, Barca is one of them. And he can stay at Dortmund. Don't think he'd move in January.

Clever purchases and hidden gems will most likely be the way to go.

1. Max Meyer

Job done. Love that kid.

has stagnated a bit. still only 20 and mass of potential. But we don't play our won players of that age, so why should we need another one who is all skill and scarce end product. He is just a younger version of Oscar imo. The most interesting player by far in Schalke is Leroy Sane. left footed, solid, right winger with nice technique and incredibly consistent for a 19 y.o.

apart from him they got goretzka who is a nice cm prospect and could play next to matic. He is quick and a nice allrounder, very similar to Pasalic tho.

Yeah true, it just depends on the commitment of the club to spend though.

With Mourinho in charge (should he still be), or whichever high-profile manager we get, player will still see us as a big club if we invest in more than one world-class player. Next season would be our first without CL in over a decade. Club negotiators have to show that we're not going to do a Liverpool and be doomed to mediocrity of annual Europa League instead of being like Man United and coming straight back into it.

Was only referring to the winter window. Summer is different. Though that will be challeging as well. It's a shame because the club was in an upwards trajectory for years.

There's also EURO 2016 coming up btw. Players will be looking for the safe option.

At what point is it worth to try to sign stop gaps only to try ro win UCL this year rather than actually planing for the future?

Arent you oftenly bashing Mourinho because you stupidly thinks he "traded the future" for 1 League Title?

Funny...

Right-back. Fabinho (Monaco), Coleman (Everton).

Centre-back. John Stones (Everton), Laporte (Athletic de Bilbao).

Defensive Midfielder. William Carvalho (Sporting Lisbon), Kondogbia (Inter Milan).

Creative Midfielder. Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund), Bernardo Silva (Monaco, but maybe he is a N. 10).

Offensive winger. Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund).

Forward. Kane (Tottenham), Pato (Sao Paulo).

fair enough.

but we are desperate. we desperately need a B2B to partner matic. someone who can not only defend and run around (i love rambo but sometimes he is frustrating), but also pass and split open defences with his vision. and i am not saying, he should be able to do that only when the opposition give him all the time and space in the world.

BVB wont mind losing him now or next summer until they get his worth (and more), we need to go OTT if we can. does not matter. he is a brilliant player, still just 25 and exactly what we need.
