qpr put their hearts on the line. they stopped us from playing and getting any momentum. anytime we got behind them, they simply lunged at us (anyone remember the sandro tackle on oscar[i think]). but apparently it is all simply due to our manager. what a piece of shit he is. has kept us on the top of the table since day1. kill him!!! burn him!!!

Our team don't handle the pressure of being favourites well. We're used to being underdogs for titles.

We go to PSG 2nd leg as underdogs(since they dominated us in the first leg) we played well for 30mins till ibrahimovic gets red.

All of a sudden we became massive favourites to go through and we turn to complete dogshite from there.

It's the lack of rotation or even willingness to try something different with our fullbacks in every game that really perturbs me. Such a glaring weakness that hampers us attacking wise. Ivanovic looks tired and he's been garbage for weeks. He really isn't that good. Jose seems to think he's Maicon when he isn't.

Azpilicueta, excluding the odd game is done as a left back; He's the most limited left back in the league. He also looks very vulnerable and beatable this season unlike last season. He was given quite a torrid time by QPR, and not for the first time this season. Why can't Mourinho try for once, Azplicueta at right back, you know in his ACTUAL position?! He's fantastic in both attack and defense in his real position, a complete fullback and a monstrous athlete. He showed that in his first season here under RDM and Benitez. His passing, technique, crossing and composure on the ball exquisite. Better than anything I've ever seen from Ivanovic.

Same thing with Filipe Luis. We all know how good he is technically. He has a great game, then he's not given a game in a month, which is unfair. Like Azpilicueta (when played in his right position) Filipe Luis is one of the most complete full-backs in the world. I'm not sure some of our fans are aware how good that player is.

We have two of the top 5 most complete fullbacks on the planet, but they never get a game together. Very strange. I'm entirely convinced we will be able to stretch defensive teams better if we make this adjustment to the XI.

Right now, we're playing with a right back at left back and a former centre back at right back, with a front 3 behind the striker that all want the ball to feet. It makes it easier for defensive teams to defend against us. Look at Arsenal (hate to compare us to them, but they are a good example), Bellerin and Gibbs bombing down, stretching teams, or United with Blind and Valencia supporting the attack at every opportunity, not just as decoy runners, but making an impact in the final 3rd.

We have personnel in the team that can make us much better without compromising elsewhere i.e in defense in this case. I'm sure Mourinho already knows all this. What's amazing is he's failed to do anything about it. Is he picking both for their defensive qualities alone and underestimating the damage a fullback can do in attack? I think so. But the 1st problem is our attack needs refreshing, apart from Hazard, we're struggling, and this is the most obvious position in our team Mourinho can tweak to refresh our attack and power us to the title. The 2nd problem is neither player, for deferring reasons is solid enough to warrant that, and even if they were, modern football demands you integrate both your fullbacks as much as possible to your attacking play/organised attacks.

My preferred back four will always be - Azpilicueta, Cahill , Terry and Luis. I've seen enough this season to be sure of that. Hardworking and complete. Not what we have now were the LB struggles to even make a forward pass, let alone a cross, because he's playing on the wrong side of the pitch. Or were the RB lacks composure on the ball a reliable delivery, and is generally an unreliable defender but is picked week in week out without fail, regardless of form or performance in the previous match. If he makes this changes, I'm almost certain our football will be better.

Of course, Mourinho is completely hamstrung by the Oscar and Ramires dilemma. Very different from the situation I described above, were he actually has good options he's not playing enough. The problem with these two Brazilians is neither are good enough. They can play better than they've shown in recent months/years, obviously, but they've had their chances and blown them continuously. Neither are Chelsea standard and neither will get near Madrid or Barca's first team. Oscar is the lesser of two evils, at least he can pass a ball, so I'll go with him for majority of our matches till the season ends.

So our whole week to prepare resulted in one shot on target, against the worse side in all aspects of defence in this league. That's ridiculous. What the hell is this ? Another lie. What he is doing is 100% quick fixes, short sight solutions. Like if his plan is to be here only those 2 years. He hasn't build anything yet, if he had a fall out with the board for example and there was no him next season then the new manager would have to start from almost the ground zero ! He would have to learn our players how to apply pressing, how to build up the game in possession, how to use the proper full-backs, how to execute counter-attack, he would be at the exact same situation with bringing up youths from the bottom ... Let's hope that 3rd season will be finally about building. Then start giving grades. Currently we are in his comfort zone shell. I bloody hope that in 3rd season he doesn't back to his shell as soon as something goes wrong.

I really really hope that 3rd season will be breaking season in many aspects. Now is like he wants to have another medal in his cabinet to show as soon as someone want to criticize him to cover his ego. Brendan Rodgers said after last season game against Liverpool that as soon as you want to criticize him, he is going to show his CV and medal lists and say "but it works". And Brendan knows him very, very well.

Yeah, in the short term it works, but he's here for 10 years I hope. Then it won't work without proper platform which is yet to build.

I don't mind replacing United in winning all Premier League titles as soon as there's no extraordinary side in the league. That's how they won basically their titles in the Roman era I can remember. Only very good, record breaking sides knocked them of their perch, they were winning all the rest "casually ordinary seasons".

I don't simply see how this shit is going to continue in the current form though. If less luck, less coincidence, less "winning spirit" (call it as you like) was at our side we'd be fighting for 4th. We've collected like 27/36 points since turn of the year. To analyse game by game you can calculate that in other circumstances without that freaking lucky star at our head it could be even 15/36 . I simply can't be as ecstatic winning in this way. Winning with the style, putting stamp on the opponent is 10 times better. I watched the first half of Sociedad game in the pre-season and the first half against Burnley like 3 times. Beautiful stuff. You just want to enjoy it and rewatch this and analyse and rewatch again.

How can I enjoy this ? I can't. I have to remind myself that we won 0:1 to bring some joy. Long time since I watched the replay of our game.

But that was going to happen this season, I had set my bar low cause 2 seasons is not what it will take a manager of Mourinho's play-set to come up with beautiful football. I do my analysis, I do it full-time professionally. I used to do it for this site, before I stopped because of time constraints and also because quite a few educated members left to be replaced by ones who will go from 'Mourinho is god' to 'He should be sacked if we don't win anything this year' in the span of 45 minutes.

Wow, you finally said what your real position is. Because from my short time here the only thing I got from your posts is that your blind Mourinho supporter. You literally only came up with this and only replied to the posts that criticised Mourinho. So I made my assumption that something is wrong with you that you don't how shit we're playing. I for one love entertainment but I take a team's win over entertainment any fucking day of the week. Once again, different opinion. They can spend a 60 minute history show talking about how bad we were for 59 minutes over the course of 10 trophy laden seasons, but they will always end that 1 single minute saying what we won. I don't prefer attacking or defensive minded football better. I don't believe that Stoke's football is boring either.
