Not good enough at Middlesbrough last season. Inexperienced. Who'd you rather bring on as a sub at half-time if Begovic was injured: an unproven youth or a World Cup winner? Amelia is by no means a great goalkeeper but he's experienced and that is what we need if we lose another GK to injury whilst Thibaut is out.

Blackman is 22 and he has only played one senior game, we can't afford losing points because of a shity goallie. Tibo will be out till December, Begovic can get injured or suspended any time, we need an experienced backup. Schwarzer and Hilarious were 3rd choice GK-s but played a fair amounts of games for Chelsea.

I wouldn't call him a "shitty goalie" as he is actually technically a very nice goalkeeper, but your point is correct. We need an experienced second-choice.

Oh I agree in that regards. I imagine we'll sort a loan for him - being third-choice (fourth when TBO returns) is helping no-one.
