We may sign Victor Valdes immediately? or we would have to wait until January?

If the injury of Courtois are more than four months maybe FA could allow us to make his signing to replace Courtois (I do not know exactly the rules about such situations in Premier League) because it is an injury of a fairly large term.

The big question is the current physical state of Valdes after a major knee injury and after a year practically without playing. But Valdes was (IMO) the best goalkeeper in Spain before his injury, even better than Iker Casillas, and one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

According to reports in Spain, Valdes was one of the people who persuaded Pedro to join Chelsea and reject Manchester United because of the behavior of Van Gaal. And he is also a friend of Fabregas or Azpilicueta, so he would have an immediate adaptation process.

We are having problems with the movement of the ball from behind and Valdes was perfect for that in Barcelona. With Guardiola he played as false Centre-back to get the ball from behind between Valdes - Pique - Busquets - Xavi to start the game. Valdes is really good with his feet. In that aspect (feets game) Valdes is similar to Neuer.

A great goalkeeper, with great personality and accustomed to high-pressure situations.

If we could do a signing for goalkeeper, Valdes would be one of the best options.

often a long term injury to a keeper means permission is granted for a loan...doubt if we could get Valdes even if given permision

Emergency loan option may only be executed if there is no more than one fit goalkeeper at the club - with Begovic, Blackman and Beeney, there's no chance of it.
