To be honest mate, Fabregas isn't on form at the moment and he was our weak leak last week. Him and Ivanovic need a rest and more training. But we didn't buy a defender which we all knew we needed we did try two players but didn't get anywhere. That's our weak link we used to have the best defence in europe.

Then drop Fabregas.. play Ramires with Matic for some games.. time to show a bit of tough love around the dressing room! It doesn't matter if your name is big in football.. if you're not pulling your weight for the team, you get dropped! Kiss goodbye to the Starting XI and say hello to a warm bench! Simple as that!

By doing that, the squad will realise Jose is making changes and morale will suddenly flow around again!

I've got a feeling he won't do it though, he'll play Ivanovic / Fabregas again just to piss us all off!

I think we need to start a bit of rotation in the squad here, rest players and put trust in the other players we have outside the guaranteed starts. Look at JT. In 2014 he had the whole summer off when the world cup was on. He went on to be the best centre back in the league the following season.

This summer nobody got a rest. They were travelling here, there and everywhere then thumped right into competitive football when they get back to England and they are all having a nightmare. Fab needs a holiday. Matic needs a holiday. Hazard needs to be let off his leash but he also has to step up and 'be the man.' Costa needs support. It's so frustrating to watch the ball get lumped up to him and he ends up on his lonesome on the wing with nobody to pick out in the box. As I said earlier, 4-2-3-1 needs to go. Everybody knows how we are going to set up and it's simply not getting the best out of the squad we have.

Sacking the Manager to win agame or two. Last season Jose was a genius. Now because we are looking awful its a new Manager we need. Some of you are complaining about certain players not performing. Yeh a new manaer will fix that problem. Dream on.

I didn't watch the match as soon as I saw Ivanovic and Cesc were starting. How did we actually play?

we passed and then we passed somemore. and then one of cesc/costa/pedro/hazard got the ball and lost it (number of times they lost they ball is in descending order of that list).

and then everton countered, ran riot down our right side (as usual) and we got fucked. so pretty much the usual

It's a Titanic situation.

Probably like MUTD of 2013-14.

Yesterday we started with a furious pace but again it never looked as if we were really doing something at the business end. Eventually our only goal came from a long distance effort - from 35 yards out.
The once impenetrable defence gave away two in rapid succession.

The weakest links were Ivanovitch and Costa, imo.

Did n't Mourinho anticipate any of it back in June-July ?
He is an able manager, albeit with some notorious failures in transfer decisions.

Whether he is to blame or not, the present team has reached the end it's lifespan.

We all have seen this happening many times in football, the ultra-rapid decline.
Occasionally the club's empty budget is to blame but it happens in other ways too.

Looks very much like the Greek predicament.

In the summer of 2014 Greece did reasonably well in Brazil as you know.
Then defeats from Northern Ireland, Faroe islands - both legs !
In the case of a national team money and transfers offer no instant remedy, but it shows what happens when the players have reached their limit.
In football we have also seen some come backs. This can be done with youngsters but takes one-two years and some massive transfers are needed alongside.

In any case a honest approach is needed from those concerned.
No more daily lie - bunker propaganda.
The key words should be "we build anew - support the team".
Also this situation does not in any way diminish the achievements of the past - like last year's championship.
It's a disease we 've seen before.
