That's the sort of fee you pay for an experienced defender. Rahman has only really had one great season for a small club & is still a relatively unknown quality. I'm definitely not going to pretend I've watched him live but that seems highly steep to me.

Hopefully he's more Varane/Carvajal than Phil Jones. Hope we get Stones done as well.

I don't think you can judge todays market by what you've seen in the past. The game has changed DRASTICALLY from even as recently as 3 yrs ago.
