Sack Mourinho, Begovic is better than Tibo, Reus is better than Hazard, Bosingwa is better than Ivanovic. Thats us Chelsea fans in a nutshell.

But Begovic is better than (or at least on the same level as) Courtois. He had shitty Stoke defence in front of him every week. Now, he's proving his quality at the big club (although our defence this season is equally shit as Stokes, but you get the point).

He was brilliant today, but lets not forget Tibo has also had games where he has carried us, Liverpool and PSG away.

Begovic is a brilliant keeper but Tibo is a generational talent that we are very lucky to have.

I agree. They're both exceptional and it's always good to have such competition at the club that pushes both players beyond their ability.

Great deal for 8M but Courtois is a much better keeper. No doubt about it. If anyone is doubting Courtois after one game where Begovic was playing behind a defense that was incredibly exposed, against a world class striker, where the saves he made Courtois would definitely have also made, is nuts.

For some reason Tibo is largely unappreciated in general by the fans, its odd.

He reinforced what we already knew, really. He's too good to be a #2. Which is fantastic for us as a club but perhaps not so much for Begovic himself.

If the idiots running United weren't so obsessed with "big names" they could've had their De Gea replacement on the cheap right here.

Glad to have him.

Courtois is not much better, I am sure.

Shame the team let Asmir down today, he was brilliant.

Cmon man Courtois is like 4 years younger, already a world class keeper and only going to get much better. Begovic is far too good to be a number 2 but he wouldn't of played if Courtois wasn't suspended.

It was laughed off when people

subtle
suggested he's been in the top 5 best 'keepers in the league since forever now . "we have the best back-up" is as far as most comments would go, with hardly any singing his praises or putting faith in the idea of him as a potential #1 for us. (Nevermind the reminders that he's a "good player but not a top one", for some reason.)

He's been on Cech's level for a couple years, and has surpassed Cech's current level. Just a few weeks ago, such a comment was thrown onto the "undiagnosed delusion" pile where the posts the majority disagree with get thrown. Now, I hope it's more agreed. Begovic is the shit. He is UP there.

On 13 July 2015, Chelsea signed Begović on a four-year deal for a fee of £8 million. As part of the deal Chelsea also offered midfielder Marco van Ginkel in part exchange to Stoke on loan for the 201516 season.

He made his debut nine days later on Chelsea's pre-season tour, coming on at half time for Thibaut Courtois with Chelsea 10 up against the New York Red Bulls, but the match ended in a 24 defeat. Manager José Mourinho defended Begović's performance, attributing it to fatigue. His first competitive fixture was the 2015 FA Community Shield on 2 August at Wembley Stadium, in which he was unused in a 10 loss to rivals Arsenal. Six days later he came on as a substitute for Oscar when Courtois was sent off for conceding a penalty with a foul on Bafétimbi Gomis, who converted it for a 22 draw. On 16 August, Begović made his first competitive start for Chelsea in a 30 away loss to Manchester City.
