Chronicling referee decisions

Recommended Posts

Guys I'm making a list of all the major referee decisions that've unfairly hurt or benefited us this season in the league. Please add all that you can remember, with video evidence if possible. These are the ones off the top of my head -

Against -

1. Costa 'dive' and booking vs Burnley away

2. Costa not awarded penalty against Burnley home

3. No penalty for handball against Burnley home

4. Fabregas booked for simulation against Southampton

5. No red card for Barnes tackle on Matic

6. No penalty for Naismith handball against Everton home

7. Two soft yellows against Ivanovic at United away

8. No penalty for a foul by (???) against United away

9. No red for Sanchez's punch on Ivanovic?

For -

1. No penalty for Cahill handball against Liverpool away

2. No second yellow for diving by Cahill against Hull home

3. No red for Cahill on Sanchez against Arsenal home

I think one has to be careful when discussing these things.

Thought experiment:

Brazil play against Costa Rika and they lock you in a room not allowing you to watch the game.

After the match they tell you "it ended 1-0 - the goal was scored with the hand - scandal", but they don't tell you who won 1-0.

Are you not going to suggest Brazil ?

The way things are and given the referees are blind but not partial you are going to say Brazil won.

Because 29 out of 30 it's going to be Brazil the way things are in football.

So such countings have to be balanced before we can prove something.
Another thing I always do is accept the verdict of the majority of the pundits, not what our own fans think, before joining in a protest.
