The reason i have joined the talk chelsea community is me and the boys are planning a trip down to london next year. I am 30 next year as are some of my mates, so this gives us a perfect season and good excuse for the misses!lol. to get ourselfs down for a blues game!

I am looking for some help with hotels and best way to get to stamford bridge from surounding areas.

Hi mate, I'm down from Kilmarnock quite regularly!

I normally just fly down and then get the tube over to stamford bride, normally book the hotel (millennium)at the stadium!

Same story as the above, been to a good few away games but never to the Bridge.

Where do you fly to mate?

Welcome Trueblueforlife.

Hopefully Rangers will get back to where they belong through the play-offs. How do you reckon they will get on at Hearts?

Reckon we'll win and Hibs will slip up at Falkirk. Regardless, if we can't beat QOTS over two legs then we don't deserve to go up.

Hi mate. I know I'm a bit slow to the topic. On and off the forum as I work away a lot.

My preferred routine for The Bridge is British Airways Glasgow to Heathrow. Jump on the Heathrow Express to Paddington. Downstairs for the district line tube to Fulham Broadway station which is right at the stadium.

Usually stay in the DoubleTree by Hilton on Imperial Rd which is about a 10 min walk to the stadium. There are some cheaper options about, Premier Inns in Kensington etc but I like the convenience of the DoubleTree. Sometimes the convenience pays for itself. Especially if you're out with the boys the night before. Stamford Bridge is an easy walk with a hangover via the bar for a hair of the dog.

If theres a group of you, you might be just as cheap ditching the HX and Tube and just getting a taxi from the airport. Black hack will put you out about £70 into Chelsea/Fulham at the weekend. If your going out for a night out bus or taxi into the centre of London is easy enough.
