I've always had a bit of an obsession with making money and particularly online...I've never really been successful though.

I've bought wholesale designer t-shirts and made profit, but they took a while to sell.

Bought a few laptops for spares/repairs off eBay and have either fixed them and sold them or sold the working parts. It really is a good profit spinner especially if you get a decent laptop. I gave that up though as PayPal are bastards and always favour the buyer so I lost money on cases opened against me despite the fact I practically proved they were lying.

It's so difficult to find a niche market online nowadays though. You need to have very little competition and competitive prices where you'll make a decent bit of profit to cover delivery fee's and eBay/PayPal fees.

I'm sure I'll have another venture soon enough though.

How did you make your $5 into $50? That isn't bad, if you done it on a bigger scale you could've turnt that say $50 in to $500

It's tricky.

I know some antiques collectors who do make money from ebay. Those blokes are experts of art history.

The law makers make things difficult, in an effort to defend the entrenched interests of the printed press and tv.

One journalist, rather ignorant I should think, said to me "you are not allowed to publish the cinema films - you need to produce a permit from each and every individual cinema theatre !".

Rubbish for years-improved a bit with football bets, greyhounds.

About 12k made on currency deals, and 8k selling Poundland shares in last 12 months.

Ticket touting and selling on Silk Road/Agora weed, skag, crystal, and guns is the way forward

Can you imagine the sort of money you'd make via insider trading had Chelsea been a stock exchange listed company? :D

The newspapers here were saying the tickets for Liverpool v. AC Milan were going for 8000 euro !

That was in 2007 or 8 ?

Two months before the match I was at the DCMS office. I was not the person invited -some journalists about I don't even remember what subject- but I went along. Did n't even cross my f****ng mind. Could have said hey boss give us five tickets for the euro final.

  • 2 weeks later...

As I kinda dropped out of the rat race after I got fed up working in the City on different computer installations Ive done allsorts making money. Not all legally or not in this country anyway.

But Ive shipped in containers full of old Lambrettas from Italy and Spain as theres a excellent market for them and a big turnround. Just theyre getting harder to find. I also do some promoting for my own club nights. I DJ so I hire out a hall or club for the night and put my own thing on. I take the door takings and a % of the bar so after advertising,DJs,doormen it can make good money.

I also goto India alot specially Goa. I dont always go over there with alot of money but I always rent the same house Ive rented since '99. So to make money I sell crepes once a fortnight on this market thats similar to Glastonbury. People come from all over India to it and specially for the full moon raves. What I do is take a big prafane gas bottle, pans, table on my twist n go scooter and set up stall on the market. I sell enough crepes in 1 day to live like a king for a month and sit and get drunk all day getting stoned with all the backpackers. Its a amazing lifestyle but its very difficult to get usd to being back in England when I come home.

I also have a really big record collection and I make money buying/selling/trading records. Mainly really rare Northern Soul.
