Rumoured Mauro Icardi

Think Real is an odd move for him. Hes a very good striker but just the fact they have somebody in that mould like Benzema (fair enough hes been shite for a while now in terms of goals) who combines well with the wide forwards. Not saying he cant but I thought they'd prefer somebody like Dybala who can play maybe more like a withdrawn striker at times as well as a typical 9. Although Im sure he will score a shed load of goals at Real if he goes.

They haven't had a reliable CF for a while after a shedload (Ronaldo, Raul, Morientes, Van Nistelrooy, etc). I expect them to sign one big name during this window & a few in the summer.

I'm still hoping that they'll go for Kane in the summer. It would hopefully be the big signing that they always crave and carry the double bonus of (1) severely weakening Spurs as I can't see them being able to adequately replace him, and (2) more than likely they wouldn't buy Kane and Hazard increasing our chances of holding on to him.

I see them trying for Salah and or Kane plus of course Eden. With the changing room apparently turned against CR7 hes being forced out but who will buy him? Not just his transfer fee but his wages? No chance in hell we would unless he took a half at least paycut and paid his own transfer fee lol

Only PSG with that sort of money - or Barca lol

I am not sure if he is not too much of only a poacher like Bats. sure, Icardi is technically better but other than that they are pretty similar

If you are good at that pretty much what you would look for in a Striker I would think. People said Morata was much more technical than Lukaku(who was also a poacher) who has the higher goal stats?

Strikers need that, and I would take that a good trait in a  striker.

Hmm, I think this guy suits Italian football. I could be wrong but I feel as if the Premier League would expose him.

Instead of Icardi who could well flop outside italy, just hijack Lautaro Martinez who is going to Inter for 30m. He looks like the next Kun/Tevez in the making and with poor strikers that we have, it might be worth a risk since we arent paying shitload for actualy good and proven striker (if there even is one available).

You need much more than goals in a striker. Bats goal record shits on Giroud's yet we look 10x better as a team with the latter leading the line.

Our current team would be the issue. Can't expect a CF to thrive with one or two creative players. He'd be a hit at City but isn't Pep's type of player.

I doubt Inter would sell but Icardi would be the perfect Chelsea striker.

He's a poacher. We've seen this season alone that it's better to have someone that makes runs instead of doing his job to the majority here.

Italian journalist Fernando Czyz reports that Chelsea have contracted Icardi’s wife and agent, Wanda Nara, with the bid and have asked her to take it to Inter Milan

No  chance .
He would prefer Spain .
Only leaves Real, but they seem to have their sights on other targets (Salah, Neymar & even Kane).

I know we have no chance but I would love Icardi here.

He would teach Morata a thing or too about passion for the game.

Haven't seen much of him, but his goalscoring record looks insane. For those who have seen him, is he similar to Diego Costa, or does he also have the skill, and pace, similar an Aguero/Suarez?
