A terrible attitude is this guy's main attribute from all that I've heard about him. No idea how he plays.

I like signing free-agents though since there's almost always some sort of resale value so why not.

There's good enough when paying for somebody.... and then there's 'good enough' for FREE (albeit small compensation payment)...

It's a no brainer - if he doesn't fit in he can be sold for a profit in 18-36 months...

He was impressive last season with Zulte. A real tank from midfield, played as DM - CDM.

His potential is tremendous

His attitude is correct on the field but he broke his contract with LOSC and then with Zulte the year after.

any player you would compare him to?

Yea he's a rock.

His positioning and defensive play in general was class at times last season. Has to work on some aspects, like his distribution, but on a free this would be excellent business.

Very good prospect but we don't need to get every single prospect out there. I mean what is the point. He plays in the DM department and can play CB/RB and is very versatile but we are well covered. Very good and probably ahead of many we have now but what message are we sending out to Ake, Chalobah, RLC, Josh and many more if we get him. I think he is a Mourinho type of player and he would be a good signing for us but like I said I think we have a good flurry of youngsters coming through already.

Nice summary of him btw http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours-news/2013/7/24/4552368/chelsea-fc-profile-scouting-report-junior-malanda-transfer-rumor

Medium good.

Also, we dont need to sign every talent. But this one seems to be coming along for free.

He might arguably have been more instrumental to Zulte Waregems tile challenge in belgium than Thorgan Hazard.

5 million euro valuation for free what's not to like? He costs nothing to get and if he comes good like Yaya Toure he's worth 5-6x his current valuation. If not he was free
