Courtois

Ivanovic - Zouma - Terry - Luis

Matic - Ramires

Willian - Fabregas - Hazard

Costa

Must win game, we play City in the following league game. Hopefully Arsenal do something at the Etihad too.

Gomis is an absolute unit. Watched a lot of Lyon when him and Lopez were up top and he bullied teams into submission and loved the big games.

Just a note of caution - just because Bony isn't there doesn't mean they're toothless. We're pretty fortunate Montero is out though, he's the best player (barring Bony).

Should be a win, but not a simple one, we'll need JT and Zouma/Cahill to be on top form.

Assuming Tibo is fit, i'd pick:

--------------Courtois----------------

--Ivan----JT------Zouma----Azpi--

--------Matic------Fabregas--------

-Willian-------Oscar-------Hazard-

----------------Costa-----------------

Subs: Cech, Luis, Cahill, Mikel, Ramires, Schurrle, Remy.

Just looking at our away form. Only 2 wins in our last six away matches and one of those wins was two months ago (against Liverpool). Didn't realize it was that bad.

Yeah, beyond poor. Even against Stoke until Fabregas's goal we looked like we were about to concede and draw with them 1-1.

Hope for:

Cech

Ivanovic Zouma JT Luis

Cesc-Matic

Salah Oscar Hazard

Costa

Bench: Courtois, Cahill, Azpi (I don't know how bad or what his injury was, is he available?), Mikel, Willian, Ramires, Remy

Sub 1: Cesc/Oscar off, Rami on

Sub 2: Costa off, Remy on

Sub 3: Salah off, Willian on

Easy points for City

You will be surprised. No Toure. Arsenal are slowly starting to get their key players back as well and of course Sanchez is playing as well. Anything is possible in the PL. I am watching the Arsenal game now and Stoke have been awful. You have to wonder how the hell City lost at home to them.

Definitely.

Yesterday's game is the sort of game we would have lost if we were playing away. Wonder if the problem lies with the mentality of the team or is it due to a technical problem?

No idea. But we had some great away games against Schalke and even against Sporting (we were just extremely wasteful). So it's not like we can't do it. I think part of the problem is that we lost some of the confidence we had at the beginning of the season, and after our recent results, other teams know they can get something when we play away. We've lost the fear factor.

The problem is the lack of pace and strength in the midfield. Everytime we've played Oscar and Cesc in tough away games, we've struggled. Matic can't fix everyhing on his own.

Manunited away

Newcastle away (Mikel Instead of Matic)

Spurs away

And maybe more games.

We need Ramires/Mikel in the midfield to support Matic in these kind of away games and some at home (Mancity, United etc), with Cesc playing as #10.

Front 6:

Costa

Hazard Cesc Willian

Matic Ramires

stoke was our best performance (away) this season. dont think we ever looked like conceding. i think the best attempt stoke had that game was a charlie adam shot from 20 yards.

Relatively, Stoke was a very good away performance, but don't you remember how shaky we started looking before the second goal? Stoke became much more aggressive in attack and people here started talking that it smells of a draw. There was a nerve-wracking period when they looked better than us and were all over us before the second goal.
