Good looking logo, an excellent payout if it's anywhere near the rumoured £40m mark and not by any means controversial like City or PSG sponsors. No idea why some people are still not happy. Just because it's not some super trendy brand like Apple or Google some would have creamed their pants for doesn't mean it's not good.

Couldnt give a monkeys which corporate we're gonna prostitute across our sacred shirts for a wodge of cash.

Realise its a million pound moneyspinner, (kettering were the first in the uk with Kettering Tyres), but with billions from TV revenue, clubs dont need it and is greedy and fucking ugly imo.

Just generaly wondering why dont we make a big deal with Gazprom, considering we already are partners and Abramovich has russian connections.

I knew Yokohama before, but its rather small company but it doesnt matter as long they fork 40m per year. Btw how will they manage to give us 1/3rd of their year income for several consecutive years?

Their revenue is $5 billion a massive amount will be for marketing. Their profit level is so low because they have been massively expanding over the past few years, particularly in the USA. Now I'm guessing it's Europes turn.

Gazprom is hugely controversial. The company, the politics, the owners, the history. It could get really nasty.

Thanks to We Hate Scouse for the info. It seems that finally will Yokohama Rubber Company our t shirt sponsor next season.

I hope Chelsea confirm the information and Yokohama Rubber Company next season are sponsoring our t shirt next season. I think it's a big deal. According to reports, Turkish Airlines we only paid £ 25 million per season, and sponsorship of Yokohama we can come to receive £ 40 million per year. It's a very big difference. This would be a very intelligent and big business.

Many forum members were against Turkish Airlines for its logo and its similarity with Liverpool. I think that element is one of the three parts that I pray to a company for them to sponsor our team and our shirt.

1. The company must respect our history. This is very important. Only that some element of offense demonstrates our team, whether we offend ourselves as if your company or logo can be used by fans of other teams to offend us, I think this company should be ruled out by us and we choose another if in respect with our history, our team and our supporters. This company can not make any fan of Chelsea feel ashamed to put their logo on our shirts. This is essential.

2. They must respect human rights (the declaration of human rights). What I say is not an accusation to Turkish Airlines, I clarified to not enter into polemics with anyone. I think Chelsea must not be publicize companies or countries that do not respect human rights. NEVER. This is very important. We are a company with over one hundred years of history and we have our own nonnegotiable ethical codes.

I also think it is important the implication of the company with the problems of people in the world. It is also important social implication of this company.

Yokohama Rubber Company whether it is a company that it respects human rights, and they are stuck in social action campaigns as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility. Currently powers the following projects - principally (they have more social action campaigns):

a. Development of the product family BluEarth: aimed at making tires respectful with the environment.

b. Project Zero Emissions: based on reducing harmful emissions at all works.

c. Forever Forest Project: a project whose goal is to plant half a million trees in 10 years in 17 locations worldwide.

I know that many companies make these campaigns for better picture and pay less taxes, but I prefer this name Chelsea associated companies that make these campaigns and respectan human rights, or that we choose another company that gives us more money, but they get dirty our behalf. Football is not just business.

3. The company give us more money. If the company that bids us to sponsor our shirt they meet the above two points, we live in the world of supply and demand, I think we have to choose the company that gives us the most money possible each year. The current futbol handles immense sums of money, and we have to compete with our rivals using everything we can do, and if Yokohama Rubber Companies (which respect the above two points) offers 40 million per year and Turkish Airlines offers £ 25 million a year, I think definitely we have to choose the offer of Yokohama Rubber Companies. Without any doubt.

I, like many forum members, I would like to see Chelsea shirt with no logo, even Adidas, but that, as is the current world and the world in general, I think I would believe that we live in Wonderland .

I hope the news that Yokohama Rubber Companies will patronize our shirt next season by £ 40 million is confirmed and that raise the level of the Chelsea brand and we We could renegotiate our contracts with other companies like Adidas. This may be a sign that Chelsea is becoming an important team both in sports and in economic terms.

I hope your comments.

Regards.

Whilst I do not mind the company, the name Yokohama will forever remind us of one of our most embarrassing defeats. Also as a German I don't like the city particularly.

Yep not a place of happy memories for a German Chelsea fan. Still, after Belo Horizonte, maybe the memories of Yokohama have been soothed just a little bit. :)

Fantastic piece of news! The thought of having Turkish Airlines (or any other airline company for that matter) made me wanna barf, so this thread kinda made my day. Hope it's not just another silly rumour and the source is as reliable as you all make it out to be.

I wouldn't care if Pornhub sponsored us and put a picture of a dildo on our kit tbh. Okay bad example, but if they're paying more than Samsung then that's fine with me.

Haha maybe Durex would be better ;) just text though haha ;)
