Good evening Chelsea fans,

My name is Karolis Civas and I am an Honours year student at the University of Strathclyde. I would like to get Chelsea fans opinions as I am doing a research on the topic of Premier League football clubs’ connection with local supporters in the context of clubs’ increasing need of (global) commercial activities.

This study would greatly benefit from your participation. The questionnaire only takes around 5 minutes.

Due to the nature of the research I am only interested in the fans that are based in UK.

You can find the questionnaire here:

I'd be really grateful if you would participate.

Thank you in return,

Karolis

Chelsea FC stopped being a local/community club years ago as did all clubs that gained sustained success. Now its just a corporate brand. Hence the shit atmosphere at games and lack of passionate support. I could never feel passionate for something I had absolutely no connection with. Thats why I could never understand people in my school supporting Liverpool, Man United etc.
