Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with Juventus to sign out-of-favour midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah this summer, according to the Express.

Perfect utility man that I don't see Juve parting with. He was injured for a large part of the season, but is normally one of their regulars.

I guess we'll get someone from Juve that Conte likes before the season starts, though.

Well looks he will be competing for a left wing back role in a 3-5-2 then.

No way Conte has signed him to play as a central midfielder, lacks the technician ability the likes of Fabregas and even Matic and Oscar have despite his physical qualities. If he plays him as a CM then I am surprised we even bothered selling Ramires... Basically the same player but left footed.

This is a real head scratcher!

He will play left back with Azpi on the right. Long time since we had some African power in our team.

Oh cmon I'm sure when Matic was one of the best DMs in the world when we won the league (wasn't my words, likely wasn't your words either but not the point) any one would agree that he had some sort of half decent/pretty good technical ability as well as Oscar. Asamoah is an athlete, he is basically the same as Ramires, just wait if we sign him and he's plays CM against teams who have a low block people will turn on him like they turned on Ramires questioning his use.

Different case If he plays LWB, fair enough then, a specialist player in that position would be a useful signing.

Strengths:
Strong

Quick

Confident on the ball

Agressive

Can play several positions

Weaknesses:
Doesn't score many

Not all that creative

Doesn't specialise in any position

Can he do it in a two man midfield? Possiburu. But he mainly plays LM for Juve right?

Asa is a midfielder, center left in a 3 midfield (433, for example), this is his natural position

In Conte's 3-5-2 he played as a outside left but this position was adapted even if he had good perfomances.

IMHO he wouls be a good leftback

P.s: for two years he is always injured
