I am quite happy for him.I remember him from one U19 tournament,in which he and Kakuta participated. In my opinion,he was the best that time, but I think Kakuta got the player of the tournament award. He has everything to be a big player, but I don´t see any reason why Chelsea should sign him

Yes, we're secure in that position with Costa for quite a long while and it's not a position we rotate a lot. Lacazette just made it 18 for the season btw. Unreal.

I quite like Lacazette, I watched a fair bit of his matches last season. Really like his game. I've heard rumbles of interest from Liverpool in him, I'd be gutted if that materialized. Not because I feel we need him, but because I HATE when then sign any player I even mildly like.

Good player but he clearly lacks ambition, he's had numerous chances to leave France but he doesn't because he wants to 'rival Ibrahimovic' for the golden boot or thats so according to various quotes on twitter and news sites. What sort of bullshit ambition is that to have? If he had the chance to leave France and further his career, he should have done it. He will always be a good player but to become a better player it's necessary you have to make a move if you are say at a club like Lyon. Even Ronaldo left Manchester United to go to Madrid and hes gone from strength to strength a goal a game, more than 250 goals there. Not saying he will go to that level but if he had the chance to step up from Lyon, he should have taken it.

Maybe it is the fact that he only 23 and does not want to be one of them players who leave at such a young age and gets attratced by the lure and money of moving to a big club and then destroys his career. Instead he has stayed at Lyon, played regular football and has improved. When the time is right he will most certainly be out on his way to a big team in Europe. He is only 23. Maybe it was the right thing to stay where he is. It is not the best league in the world but it is a good level for him to be playing at. If you were saying this if he was at the age of 28 or so I would understand however he is only 23 and has got years ahead of him. There are too many young players who think the grass is greener on the other side and it backfires for some.

Any chance he could turn into wing striker, ala Anelka?

We are in need of another goalscorer and in need of quality Rw. Hopefuly we can kill two flies with one hit. Wheather its Lacazette or sbd else.

2 goals in each of last 4 games. Amazing.

He could really like living in Lyon. They have an elite academy, best in France.

Don't remember ever having seen this lad play so I've no idea of his quality. Whenever I read about a player saying stuff like this however, I think it's agent penned code for nobody good wants me/rates me highly enough to pay a decent fee/decent wage so I'm pretending that where I am is exactly where I want to be anyway.

He doesn't need an academy anymore. Now he should focus on success and playing in strong leagues to challenge him self and improve to become on of the best.

If he can help Lyon win the league (they're currently top mainly thanks to his goals), he won't be gonna anywhere till the summer.

Im actualy happy he stayed in lyon. A big move in past could destroy his development and this season he completely matured and is still only 23, best strikers reach their peak at 25+ anyway.

I must say, I wasnt this excited about ligue 1 product since Eden. If Lacazette can keep his head straight, big things can happen. And I hope he help Lyon win title again.

Ligue 1 prospects are hard to judge the majority of the time, as they seem to show a lot of promise at a young age, but falter when they get older, or move league.
