Hi everyone

I'd just like to make you aware of my new book on our Champions League winning season is out on Amazon and other booksites. You may have read about it on our Facebook page but I just got permission to bring it to your attention on the forums too :D Again many thanks to Alex, Steve and Choulo for their help.

http://www.amazon.co...pheonix project

So far it has been received with good reviews from the posters I know that have bought it.

The book has at least 486 pages of comment, interviews and match reports to bring back memories of what looked like a season of despair into the greatest cup win in our history! This is the only complete season review on Amazon for any Chelsea season, if it starts to sell better, I'd like to complete a back history of our seasons for our fans to read. So if you have any requests please feel free.

Please give the preview a read and let me know what you think of it. If you do buy it please leave a review, good or bad.

Many thanks

David

I've been looking at the site for two days wondering where to ask a question about books!

Can anyone recommend the most definitive and illustrated history of Chelsea? I want to get the latest one for my son who is 14. A lot of the ones on Amazon only go up to 2007.

Also, I didn't know where to put this but I came across an article on old Chelsea programmes

Why is advertisement allowed on this forum?

I got permission from Alex one of the mods. If not feel free to move it.

To the section on books if that is possible. Which I don't think we have.

There hasn't been a recent one for awhile as far as I can see.

Any chance you could knock one up before Christmas? 500 pages, from our birth to the Liverpool win two weeks ago? No pressure.

Ha I probably could get a written one done at a push but it wouldn't be illustrated as I don't own any pictures unfortunately and licensing from Getty's for a 500 page book would bankrupt me!

Your best bet is asking Chelsea FC's marketing department to consider making a book like this. It's possible, they might.

Has anyone got the book Chelsea in the Swinging Sixties: The First Rock and Roll football club? Would you recommend it?

Could you also recommend some other decent Chelsea books for my lad for Christmas please?

You could try any of the Paddy Barclay books on Mourinho.

Ancelotti's autobiography is quite amusing and well written.

Depending how old your son is, Ranieri's book on his final season is good and very cheap these days.

On general Chelsea maybe this - I haven't read it though. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chelsea-Cult-Heroes-Stamford-Greatest/dp/1908051663/ref=zg_bs_279400_31
