Chelsea are considering a move for Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Medran, reports in Italy claim.

Medran is a regular in Real Madrid's B team, who are coached by Zinedine Zidane, although the 20-year-old did make his first-team debut last month against Levante.

The midfielder is also capped by Spain at under-21 level and is viewed as a potential star of the future by Madrid's youth coaches.

Medran joined the Champions League champions during Jose Mourinho's stint in charge of the club back in 2011.

Mourinho has reportedly kept his eye on the Spanish youngster and, according to Calcio News 21, the Chelsea boss is now ready to swoop for Medran during the January transfer window.
