We're producing some excellent talent - the problem is its easier to spend £32 million on Diego Costa than give Solanke, Brown or Bamford the 2/3 seasons they'd need to come through.

I think it's much more complicated than that. Many more factors involved not the least of which are the attitudes of the youth players themselves an issue that is not helped by all the money in youth football in England and the quite ridiculous wages of the youth players.
