Is not Leno their no.1? Why would Emery risk their El final playing cech?

Cech's been the cup keeper. Is certainly an intresting subplot with him almost certainly returning here in some capacity afterwards. It's a shame that i really hope his last games a miserable one but he made his bed going there.

So if we were to appoint any former Chelsea player, would it be good news?

I'm more curious as to what makes Cech qualified for this position?

The fact they've appointed someone that knows the game is a huge step in the right direction. Him being a former player is a bonus.

This cech news is brilliant. Delighted with it. Hating our lot on Twitter tho talking about him throwing goals in and handing us the trophy. I know it's just banter but the guys social media active and has clearly seen a lot of what's being said. The guys the ultimate professional and the risk he could be dropped for this game because of fan paranoia is grim.

Of course he is going to come out and be vague about it, they are playing us the EL final in a few days, now is not the time or place for it.

Matter of time before it's confirmed me thinks.

He has been in english football for 15 years. He is very educated and smart person. Most importantly, he is (ex) football professional who spent majority of his career at Chelsea. He wont be here just to do business part and receive paycheck, but to make us competitve again.

Sure he is no Kenyon with big contacts and experiences, but he is Chelsea blue and I'd prefer him over profit oriented business type Marina any day.

Id say the more persons like Terry, Lamps, Cech, Ballack, Didi,...return to the club, the better. They will bring back the character to the club. Maybe once in the future, we will need a street wise, clever, experienced DoF, but right now our priority should be to make our board more sensible, which Cech is more than capable of doing.

The amount of shit our board done and is still doing is unbelievable.
