OFFICIAL! Loic Remy Joins Blues

Chelsea FC have confirmed today that QPR's French striker, Loic Remy, has joined the club on the a 4-year deal.

The 27-yo expressed his delight to be playing his football at Stamford Bridge:

"I feel very happy and very proud. When I heard Chelsea wanted to sign me I said "let's go" straight away because they are one of the best clubs in the world. I remember the amazing atmosphere at Stamford Bridge when I played there for Marseille and I can't wait to play for the first time in front of my new fans."

The ex-Mareille player had impressed in the EPL last season after scoring 14 goals in 26 appearances on loan at Newcastle last season.

The Frenchman had various interest in him this summer including with Liverpool whom he had a medical with, and recently Arsenal who tried to hijack his move to Chelsea to no avail.

With the arrival of Loic, Chelsea's transfer market is expected to be done, bar an expected loan move for Marco Van Ginkel to AC Milan.

When he comes back, and regardless of whether or not he will be part of our squad next season, there will most likely be a few squad number changes. I expect Costa or Schurrle to take the number 9.

nice buy. good solid 2nd striker. a combined 15 goal tally from him and DD would be a realistic target and that would mean real good in my opinion.

by the way why are tabloids reporting it as 10.5mi pounds when 3 weeks back it was 8.5 mil for pool?

Maybe Schurrle, but not Costa. Just feeling he will stick to 19, as he did in spanish NT and Atletico...

Besides I dont realy give fuck who gets #9...last time we won title, no one had it, dont mind if this time is the same...we had only trouble with that damn number anyway.
