Charity sale of fully signed Chelsea football

Hi all,

I have a genuinely signed Chelsea football with authenticity certificate which I am auctioning for charity - highest bid wins.

In August 2012 our son Joshua was born with a rare condition called Metopic Craniosynostosis. Craniosynostosis is a rare problem with the skull that causes a baby to be born with, or develop, an abnormally shaped head.

Metopic synostosis is an uncommon type of craniosynostosis, occurring in 4-10% of cases. The fusion occurs in the suture that runs from the nose to the top of the skull. Infants with metopic synostosis will develop a pointed scalp that looks triangular.

Surgery for craniosynostosis is carried out under a general anaesthetic. The neurosurgeon will make an incision across the top of your child's scalp. This will leave a scar, but it will be hidden by their hair. The neurosurgeon will remove affected areas of skull. The removed pieces of bone are reshaped by the craniofacial surgeon before being returned to a normal position in the skull. The incision will then be sealed using dissolvable stitches.

Joshua underwent this operation in November 2013 at the John Radcliffe hospital. The money raised from this event will go towards Action Medical Research and the John Radcliffe Hospital. The nurses, doctors and consultants were amazing before, throughout and after Joshuas operation and offered considerable support.
