Diego Costa

Really happy with Costa today. I was more worried than happy when I saw his name on the teamsheet, thought for sure within 20-30mins he'd pull up. But he looked fine and up for it, he's kept his anger in check but hasn't made him any less effective in getting into the opposition's head. Let's hope he can continue this run, because once he gets that opening goal, the floodgates can and will open!

Yea he looked sharp; liked the haircut as well, seems up for it :P

People were saying he had a bad game against Swansea??

What the actual fuck ?

He is an absolute monster in every game he plays in.

When he starts staring down players and pushing them around, he has me in stitches and keeps me interested in watching football.

Love him!

I 'm afraid we are being let down and Jose looked forward to a Diego system but he is not getting it.
That hamstring needs some drastic treatment or it's a countdown to the exit.
Of course as Diego is already one of the long series of loved Chelsea players, it's sad to have to criticize him.

Just wondering why he never had surgery on his hamstring at the end of the season if it's that bad

Because its not a definate changer, there's a chance the surgery could go wrong which could lead to physical and even mental damage then bang, we have another Falcao/Sheva on our hands.

Just as I thought in preseason, he just doesn't seem right atm. Physically and mentally he doesn't seem ready, and his 'warrior' spirit seems to have turned completely into thug-Pepe like now.

We need both sides of Costa, if it is just the bad side added with injury we are in trouble. This is why I always thought he could never be our real no1 long term, we really need a young top class striker.

I have always maintained that this guy is a terrible footballer (good finisher but terrible with the ball at his feet) Even back when he was banging in the goals last season, I remained unconvinced about his overall game and was lambasted for it. and now that the goals have dried up what we are left with is all the negatives without any redeeming features. Other top teams in Europe all have main strikers who are capable footballers who you can have total confidence in whenever they are on the ball i,e players like aguero, Suarez, benzema, tevez, Rooney and so on. I know I can't be the only one that usually expects him to lose the ball when in possession and 8 out of 10 times, that's what usually happens.
