Cesc Fàbregas

You are right. He even completed 101.3% of his passes, cos one of those was so much backwards it disturbed the space-time-continuum and arrived at the teammate twice.

Some say Michael Laudrup would pick Mikel over Xavi and Scholes.

Fabregas has barely trained for about 2 or 3 days, but he could produce a performance like this, is a proof he is a quality player.

And hey he is got another assist, no?

Also he might thinking at the moment, 'Thanks f*** I didn't go back to Arsenal!' or 'Thanks f*** Wenger didn't use his option to bring me back!'

Cesc Fabregas completed 140 passes today, with an accuracy of 94% - 50 passes more than any player in action today (Nemanja Matic, 90).

Cesc Fabregas is now the fastest player EVER to reach 10 assists in a premier league season.

----------------

Cesc on Match of the Day: "I have never enjoyed a football match more than the first half today."

To hear this from Fabregas is really good. Imagine years ago when he played for Arsenal. :fainthv9:

Said on MOTD that he doesn't remeber ever enjoying playing football as much as during the first half (or something along those lines)

:wub::wub:

it was so clear the boys were having a lot of fun there. It's one of my first comments post-match.

They had a great time... I loved it

his post game reaction made me wonder if we are seeing the raise of the best chelsea squad ever?

We are already dominating the pl, playing some great football so far this season.

Our younger players like Oscar and Hazard improved alot this season but are still far from their prime, its scary to think how good they will be in 2/3 years from now and on top of that we have the best manager in the world imo.

So what do you guys/girls think? Is Jose building something really special here?

I don’t compare us with any other big sides because we haven’t won anything, this is just the beginning. Everyone is talking well about Chelsea now, how great we are and then you lose two games they will talk about how bad we are. We have been long enough in football not to fall into this trap and to just keep going the way we want to achieve things.’

So often we see the players using the same words Mourinho does, and then you can just be sure that he isn't speaking that for media and telling a completely different story in the locker room.

I feel like this is what he tells the players - "For us to be comparable to Invincible Arsenal, Chelsea of 2005 or anyone else, we have to win things first because those teams were champions. So let's make sure we keep biting strong, winning, looking for the win at all costs, then we'll win the league and maybe be even considered bigger than those other teams".

At the same time he's saying there's no parameter to make the comparison he's also fueling them up to be even better than some of the remarkable winning sides were.

I just loved everything Fabregas said in the interview... his will to send even a bigger message to our rivals is all I want too. I'm positive the others have the same way of thinking and I feel it's only a matter of time before we start capitalizing our chances more. CAN. NOT. WAIT. Although I'm very happy with the team now regardless.
