He is coming to Chelsea, it's hard to have any doubts at this point.

Willian and Robinho seem to suggest that nothing is ever clear cut until the player has put pen to paper. Also Man utd lost Ronaldinho to Barca in 2003 at the very last minute in similar fashion.

So you dont think the deal is done after all this? (And all the reliable news?)

What stops another club from coming in with a bigger/better offer in the last minute? break down in communication/negotiation? even small details can cause this, Last minute change of heart by Bartomeu or the player himself which links back to the second point and so on. These things happen often in football but are rarely revealed publicly.

Today there is rumoured to be a decisive meeting between Sevilla-Barca in terms of Rakitic. Maybe if they'll find an agreement, we could announce Fabregas soon

Reading around it seems this is the deal which the Fabregas deal hinges on.

Jose Mourinho's team would prefer not to pay their Premier League rivals a percentage of any fee should they agree to sign the Spanish midfielder

"...they (Arsenal) are due around 50 per cent of any profit Barcelona make on the Spaniard"

That settles that.

We will pay a million less than the initial price, so that half of the negative Barcelona's profit will have to be contributed by Arsenal.:D
